Difference between socks5 and VPN:

1. Privacy Hide: Well, Both are hide your identity, But sometimes Free VPNs (Some Paid VPN) are does not delete logs and it can be very dangerous , If they provide your LOGS to crime branch they can easily find your original IP.

2. Speed: Socks 5 speed is better than VPN.
Because they are connected with Proxy and then data, But VPN use encryption, So that, VPN is slow.

3. Trust: VPN is always collect your logs by providers, but the trusted VPN providers doest not share logs with anyone and they delete your Logs. Even Socks 5 is also is not safe.
Well, many websites are provided malicious proxy, which can handle and thief your data. So you should alert about it.

4. Provide Block IP: Actually, many of VPN provide same ip to their users and if those IP are infected with wrong  activities your payment can not accept by secure site.

When it comes to VPN vs proxy, there's no contest. VPN is superior in almost every way to proxies. It provides vastly improved online anonymity, and protects your entire on-line life. In addition to this, because ISPs cannot monitor your online activity, it is an effective means of bypassing ISP throttling.
The only real reason for choosing a proxy service is over VPN is price, which we understand is a real factor for many. However, for typically less than $10 per month, VPN services do represent excellent value for money.
We will leave with just one word of caution: nothing in this world is ever absolutely 100% secure, so be careful out there!
